The only thing that tastes better than a meal out is when that meal supports a great cause! Ethan Stowell’s Belltown restaurant, Tavolàta, is serving up a special menu to do just that.
Tavolàta is partnering with the Belltown P-Patch Community Garden for its third year to raise money for this local organization. From April 24-28, the chefs will be making fresh vegetable dishes with all proceeds donated to the P-Patch. These funds will go towards new gardening equipment, rain gardens, maintenance and more. The menu is as follows:
- Young asparagus: farm egg, parmesan, lemon
- Nettle soup: housemade ricotta, carrot purée
- 3 corner leeks: pea tendril, apple, golden raisin purée
- Potato gnocchi: carrot, snap pea, chive
The Belltown P-Patch was created in 1995 as an urban oasis in the midst of the densely populated neighborhood. Plots are individually tended throughout the year, allowing city residents to have a place to grow flowers, vegetables, fruits and plants. The garden also features local art and a public walkway.
Support a local business and Belltown’s community garden while dining out at Tavolàta this month!
