There’s lots to do involving tasty food this month throughout Belltown! Check out some of these tasty and fun events…

September 2: Pizza Class
9:50am – 11:30am | Serious Pie Virginia
Serious Pie on Virginia Street is offering a pizza class on Saturday, September 2nd. Learn about the pizza and ingredients used at Serious Pie, plus get hands-on instruction and experience stretching and shaping the pizza dough, topping it with your choice of ingredients, baking and turning it to cook it perfectly, and finally, eating your ‘za with a glass of wine! Classes are limited to 12 people, and the cost is $50/person.

September 7: Free Tour of The Paramount Theatre
10am – 11:30am | The Paramount Theatre
On the first Saturday of each month, The Paramount Theatre offers free tours of its historic facilities. This month, the tour is from 10 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m. on September 7th. Meet in the main entrance of the theatre by 10 a.m. to participate.

September 8: Get Slushed Patio Slushie Party
4pm – 7pm | Tanakasan
Instead of back to school, go back to cool at Tanakasan on September 8th! The restaurant is hosting a Patio Slushie Party from 4 – 7 p.m. There will be three different flavors of slushies, plus snacks from Chef Mel, tunes from a DJ and plenty of end of summer fun! Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door and include all offerings.

September 8: Belltown Art Walk
6 – 9pm | Belltown Community Center
Belltown’s September Art Walk begins at the Belltown Community Center then sends walkers off to local businesses, galleries, dive bars and venues to enjoy works by local artists. Start at the neighborhood community center to pick up a gallery map and snacks between 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 8th, and then wander throughout Belltown to check out the work of various artists and establishments participating in this monthly event.

September 10: Heritage Pig Sunday Feast
6 – 9pm | Belltown Tavolàta
The monthly Sunday Feasts at Tavolàta will resume on September 10th, featuring heritage pig for this dinner. Details and menu items are TBD, so check the event calendar closer to the date of the event for more details. Tavolàta Sunday Feasts are prix-fixe (typically about $60-80 per person) and served family style. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Call to reserve your place: 206-838-8008.

September 19: Tom’s Favorite Cookbooks – Demo and Dinner Series
6pm – 8pm | Hot Stove Society
Local restaurateur Tom Douglas is well known for his love and appreciation for cookbooks. In his Cookbook Demon and Dinner series, Tom’s third entry is The Zuni Cafe Cookbook. On September 19th, Tom is offering a menu from the cookbook for guests to enjoy prix-fixe in a special Demo and Dinner Series class from 6 – 8 p.m. Cocktail and wine pairings are included. Tickets are $150/person.

September 22: Luzvisminda Filipino Night Market
9pm – 12am | Palace Ballroom
Enjoy a unique experience with the Filipino Night Market at Palace Ballroom in September, celebrating the culture and foods of the three main groups of islands in the Philippines, known as Luzvisminda – Luzon, Visaya and Mindanao. Tickets are $40/person and include tastes from each of over twenty participating businesses, plus one drink ticket.
